Using it on your phone

There’s nothing to download.

This isn’t an app from the App Store or Play Store — it runs in your phone’s browser, which is why nothing is ever installed and no patient photo ever leaves the device. But you don’t have to type the address every time. In about ten seconds you can put an icon on your home screen. Tap it and the app opens full screen, exactly like a downloaded app.

iPhone & iPad Using Safari

This only works in Safari. If you’re reading this in Chrome or in a link that opened inside Facebook or Gmail, tap the “Open in Safari” option first.

  1. 1

With the app open, tap the Share button — the square with an arrow pointing up, at the bottom of the screen.

Tap Share at the bottom of Safari
  2. 2

A menu slides up. Scroll down its list and tap Add to Home Screen.

Scroll the menu and tap Add to Home Screen
  3. 3

Tap Add in the top right. The icon is now on your home screen — tap it any time to open the app.

Tap the three-dot menu in Chrome
  2. 2

Tap Add to Home screen (on newer phones it may say Install app — same thing).

Choose Add to Home screen, or Install app
  3. 3

Confirm with Add or Install. The icon appears on your home screen with your other apps.

Do I have to sign in again every time?

The first time you open the app from the new icon, you may be asked to sign in once — on iPhone the home-screen app keeps its own separate sign-in from Safari. After that it stays signed in, and you’ll only be asked again if you sign out or leave it unused for a long stretch.

Does adding it to my home screen store patient photos on the phone?

No. The icon is only a shortcut — it changes nothing about how the app works. Photos, names, and signatures still live only in the open screen and are erased when you close it.

How do I remove it?

Press and hold the icon and choose Delete or Remove, exactly like any other app. Nothing is uninstalled, because nothing was installed — you’re only deleting the shortcut.

How do I see my billing, or cancel?

Go to beforeandafter.clinic/billing — it opens your billing portal, where you can change your card, read past invoices, or cancel. Cancellation is immediate and takes one click. The same thing sits on the Billing & cancel button inside the app.
